Multiverse Mania!

Surprised by the wifey today with some DC Multiverse figures! She took a gamble and figured I would like the Azrael figure and then threw Batman and Deadshot into the mix 🙂 My interest in action figures has been subsiding as of late, but I am lacking in decently articulated 3 3/4 DC figures, so this line should fill that void nicely. The movie version of Batman from the Multiverse line is one figure I will seriously be coveting and should be released sometime in April I believe. For now this version will do and isn’t as bad as I thought It would be. In fact ,he looks pretty friggin’ cool! The paint really pops on this figure and photographs well.My lone gripe would have to be the lack of any weapons or accessories. Nothing. Not even a projectile in the shape of a bat. Not even a bat in the shape of a projectile.Yup. Nada. That said, the sculpt and articulation points are this figures saving grace and I recommend picking this one up If you ever come across it in the wiz-ild.

    • Have you seen the 89 Movie version? It’s pretty damn impressive. There’s also a Christopher Reeves as Superman figure set to release as well.

    • actully Mattel did the super powers line as the old now dead dc classics. for the first dozen waves had the four horseman redo updated versions of the super powers figures. including the made up ones like tyre till the line died.

  1. interesting to see after the last time mattel tried a 3&3/4 inch dc line i tanked that they are willing to try it again with this one. though deadshots armour is a little dark for my tastes hope this line lasts a long time and mattel finaly proves it can do a dc toy line.

    • I’m just a casual fan of DC but the line managed to catch my attention. Most everything DC was 6 inch or 3 3/4 but lacking in articulation.I wonder what other 3 3/4 figures will be released under the multiverse line? Thanks for stopping by Dcat 😉

  2. Hey Tony,

I still follow your blog even though I hardly post anymore. Seen your interest in action figures is dwindling also? I have not bought an action figure in almost a year… I really have no interest in them anymore and have moved on to weight lifting and video games lol… I still enjoy them, but I can not explain my reason for being less interested in them… Good to see you are still posting friend.

    • Thanks Jd 🙂 Hows parenthood treatin’ ya 😉 I guess ive been gaming a bit as well, albeit on my trusty ps1 .Ive been playing alot of the older sport titles-Nba Fox 2000,Nhl Faceoff and Jimmy Johnson Nfl 98 lol.Take care buddy and thanks for still stopping by and reading!
