Transformers DOTM Deluxe Class – Barricade 10/1 – 10/7

Continuing on with my quest to hunt down as many DOTM Ā figures as possible (especially since most are on clearance around these parts) here we have Barricade! Not much to say about car mode other than the fact that it looks amazing!Love the fact that the cop car is actually a bad guy in disguise šŸ˜‰ I remember first seeing Barricade in the first TF movie and really digging him.It doesn’t get any more intimidating than Barricade in that scene as he gets in the face of Ā Shia Labeouf Ā to interrogate him.In DOTM Barricade makes a quick appearance towards the end of the film. Now alot of people have a problem with his robot mode but I don’t.I think the problem lies in how some people transform him.I believe the proper way to transform him involves the legs being separated, making him look like he has no torso.I on the other hand don’t separate the legs and that tends to give him more of an upright and balanced look. The one gripe I have is with his mechtech weapon. While it looks cool when deployed with the claw exposed,It’s not able to lock in place. I think the claw is a big part of Barricades appearance and overall vibe and the fact that it can’t be displayed permanently is a minor turn off.Other than that i’m loving this figure and will soon have to make more room to display these neat little DOTM Ā Transformers!

Transformers D.O.T.M. – Thundercracker 7/30-8/5

Like I’ve stated in the past,my favoritism towards certain action figures in my collection varies from week to week. There are times where I’ll beĀ  holding an action figure and say to myself “Man,this is one bad a$# figure!”. This past week I’ve been doing that a lot with my Transformers, and right now they stand atop my” favorite action figures right now” list.I’ve already done posts on my DOTM Prime and Bumblebee figures, and this week will be looking at DOTMĀ  Deluxe Class Thundercracker and TF’s GenerationsĀ  Wheeljack.I’ll be vacationing this week so I’ll try to get the Wheeljack post in on Tuesday before I head out šŸ˜‰ As far as Thundercracker goes, I’m seriously diggin’ him!The photo of him on the back of the card doesn’t really do the actual figure any justice.I only picked him up because of the Jet mode and how much it reminded me of the G1 version of him I owned as a kid.I didn’t expect to like his robot mode as much as I do now!One of the cool things about these contemporary TF’s is the amount of articulation and pose-ability of them.I was able to get some pretty cool stances out ofĀ  ThundercrackerĀ  holding his weapons and the menacing look on his robotic chiseled faceĀ  is downright spine tingling. There is an anti-heroic presenceĀ  about this figure that will have you wanting to take pics of him next to other baddies you may have in your collection.I opted to do a side by side shot with my Resolute Cobra Commander. If you haven’t jumped on the Transformers bandwagon yet iĀ  strongly suggest you do so .The pleasure of looking at these amazingly engineered action figures displayed side by side with other TF’s or any 3 3/4 figures you may have is priceless. They literally stand out and as frustrating as it can be sometimes, transforming these guys will instantly bring you back to your childhood!Enjoy the pics šŸ™‚

Transformers Scout Class-Brimstone

Yes,you guessed it!Storm Shadow’s newest recruit is Decepticon Brimstone!I said that I would review this figure sometime this week and here i am just a day after and feeling a bit giddy about this post. I can’t tell you how much friggin’ fun I’ve had with this Transformers action figure/kick a$# motorcycle! Please excuse the emphasis on the exclamation points in this post. It’s just that something really cool happens when taking pics of Storm Shadow riding a transforming HOG with a Decepticon insignia on it!It’s almost magical!First thing’s first ,though.A super huge thank you to Jason over atĀ http://jasonvorhees.wordpress.com/ for sending me this incredibly cool toy šŸ˜‰ and really sparking my interest in these Scout Class figures.I now need an Autobot motorcycle for my Snake Eyes figures, although Jason also sent me a smaller Autobot Transformer that may look pretty cool next to ol’ Snake Eyes!Stay tuned for that :)As far as Brimstone goes,I really can’t give you an in depth review of him because he is the first real Transformers figure I’ve ever owned and I haven’t had any other Transformer action figure experiences to base this one on or compare too.I will say that it is one of the coolest pieces in my collection and you can bet I’ ll be picking up more from this line and the Transformers line in general!Enjoy the pics!BTW-Jason sent this one to me MOC but in my haste to post i forgot to upload the carded image, but i did get the back of the card šŸ™‚
