Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom – Chief Temple Guard

Keeping the adventure themed ball rolling, here we have  the chief temple guard from the  Indiana Jones toy line. I won this guy on  Ebay for about 2 bucks and some change and the shipping cost was only about 3 bucks!Insane considering the fact that most MOC action figures ship for $6+.Aside from my Indie figure, this is the only other figure from the line that i own although something tells me (actually it’s just me telling myself) it won’t be the last 😉 I have a thing were I have to have at least 3 figures from a toy line to feel like I am properly representing it.Anyways I’m really diggin’ this figure due to the fact that it’s from the 80’s film that i loved so much as a kid.Nothing against the newer films,as the figures from their line are cool as well,  but I just haven’t  seen any of them  in their entirety yet. These I.J.’s figures are detailed to a tee and look very much like their movie counterparts.  If you were wondering, this is the guy who’s pants get caught  in a steam-roller ultimately being pulled in and flattened to death..ouch!Some of the death scenes in these I.J.’s flicks make Mortal Kombat Fatalities look humane.

These I.J. figures come with some pretty cool movie accurate accessories as well as a small box which contains an awesome relic as well as a small collectible picture of it.

Pirates of the Caribbean O.S.T.-Captain Jack Sparrow

Here is the other POTC  figure i recently picked up along with old Blackbeard.I knew I needed to pick this guy up at some point after seeing how cool he looked loose on jboypacman’s site Revenge From The Cosmic Ark.These figures really have that Hasbro feel to them even though they were made by Jakks Pacific. You can find these on clearance at your local Wal-Mart’s and if you haven’t already, definitely pick some up!

My 4 Favorite Figures Right Now…..

I don’t know about you guys and your collections, but around here action figure favoritism varies from time to time.I can fixate on certain figures for a day, a week or even months and for that time period they will be my favorite figures.I find it quite strange myself but that’s just how my mind works i guess. Some figures ,like my Secret Wars Captain America, are a constant favorite and unless something extremely epic makes it’s way into my collection, the Captain will continue to hold rank.Other figures are recent additions that manage to keep their appeal long after being taken out of the package and put on display, like my 3 3/4 Avenger’s Hulk figure.Jboypacman was cool enough to send me a Toxie figure that i so desperately wanted in my collection and since then has stood strong atop my 4 favorite figures list.Last but not least we have this little gem of an Indiana Jones figure i found in the dollar bin at a local hobby shop a while back, and i just love em’. So there you have it guys!My 4 favorite figures (for now 😉 )

Action Figure Trading Cards!

Well,my version of them anyways.I still love sports cards and have decided to try something new.Basically I’ve taken different brands of past sports cards and added action figure pics to them.I think an action figure line of trading cards would be pretty cool.So here is one that I’ve recently finished. The Indiana Jones card is based on the ’87 Donruss design.Even if an action figure line of cards never hits the market,i think one of these major card company’s should release a set based on the G.I. Joe Retaliation movie coming out this summer.
