G.I. Joe Retaliation(no..not ROC..i wish)-Kamakura

Kamakura is a character that has been gradually growing on me.I didn’t read any of the comics he was in and most of what i know about him is from Wiki and the animated series Valor Vs. Venom.I do however like the idea of Snake Eyes having an apprentice because let’s face it-who’s gonna take over  the position of  G.I. Joe Ninja/Commando if  Snake Eyes ever gets captured or even worse, killed in battle?Kamakura is that’s who……take that…….so there…Cobra baddies!Sorry, got a little carried away.Anyways so yeah i really like Kamakura and hope to read up on his character a little more.I already own the more comic accurate Spy Troops version of him and while i love the ROC version, chances are i’ll probably never own one.So i snagged this one up loose and i’m really, really diggin’ it. Believe it or not,i still haven’t seen Retaliation and was wondering if Kamakura makes an appearance  at anytime during the movie. If not,he should definitely make an appearance in the next series of Joe films!

G.I. Joe Retaliation-Red Ninja

All right now correct me if i’m wrong.Wasn’t this figure released in the first wave along with the permanent hand piece thingy Roadbock and Snake Eyes w/ the blue gun last year ? Or was it held back? Not completely sure.Anyways.Glad i was able to add one these guys to my collection as it will be the closest i’ll ever be getting to a Renegades Storm Shadow figure. This is by far the best looking Ninja figure i’ve ever owned, with the exception of  the V.2 Storm Shadow i owned as a kid.The V.1 Stormy i currently own is cool too but doesn’t have anything on these contemporary Ninja figures. The only drawback  on these single carded releases is that they don’t come with any kind of sheath to store the swords.I just slip them in between his sash and gi.

Army builders will have a field day with this one provided they can hunt enough of them down.I’m content with just the one.Enjoy the pics!

G.I. Joe Valor vs. Venom – Slice

Here is another great looking figure from the  Spy Troops/ Valor vs. Venom Joe era,Cobra Ninja Slice!Slice’s bio is a little odd to say the least, stating that prior to joining Cobra he was a professional wrestler with a martial arts background and may have also had ties to secret police forces? He’s not the sliest or swiftest of ninjas but has learned a thing or two from Storm Shadow. In the Valor vs. Venom movie Slice and Slash are depicted as clumsy henchmen and the two of them kind remind me of Bebop and Rocksteady. This version of Slice came in a two pack with Slash but I picked mine up loose with most  of his accessories. I’ll definitely be on the look out for his partner Slash and more of these great Spy Troops/VvV figures.Enjoy the pics!

1985 RAMBO “The Force Of Freedom”-Black Dragon 4/30-5/6

Another awesome figure from the  RAMBO line  is  Black Dragon.Black Dragon is the villainous Ninja for hire contracted by  S.A.V.A.G.E.’s  leader  General Warhawk to try to bring down Rambo and “The Force Of  Freedom”!Check him out in action in what i think is one of  the best  Rambo cartoon episodes, by clicking on this link  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5y7dTM6jLU

Foam Dojo Dio 3/26-4/1

With all the cool G.I. Joe Retaliation Ninja figures  that will soon be hitting the market and the few Ninja and martial arts themed figures that i have now, i figured I’d take a stab at creating a  Dojo out of the same foam that I’ve used to make some of the other dio’s that I’ve shown recently here on “Action Figs & Things”. While it still needs a couple of paint touch ups here and there I am fairly pleased with the results.Enjoy the pics!
