I picked this figure up a looong time ago on clearance for like 3 bucks at a local Marshall’s. It’s not everyday that I set out to find a particular figure and actually come across it. Such was the case here as Luke Skywalker had been on my Star Wars most wanted list for quite some time. I didn’t expect to find one at Marshall’s but always hope to get lucky. This time I did. Down below is my entire ,modern collection of Star Wars figs.
I’m finally getting around to the third and final figure from the Star Wars set with the very long name.Boba Fett has been on my radar for a while now and I was psyched to find him along with Tusken Raider and Snaggletooth for the low price of 6 bucks on Amazon.com.I don’t have many contemporary Star Wars figures but the ones I do own are pretty much “must-haves’ imo. Boba Fett was another “must-have” as a Star Wars collection /display wouldn’t seem right without him.
I literally had to force myself to take action figure pics again as I’ve grown tired of …well.. photographing action figures. I don’t know what it is. The whole “pose, stage, take pic” routine has gotten to be a little monotonous. Anyways, here are some pics of the Tusken Raider, one of the three figures included in the Vintage Collection Special Villain Set. A great looking figure and as far as I can remember, pretty movie accurate. The detail in the sculpt and weapons are superb and the torn and tattered look of the cloth robe really adds to the realism of the character.
After receiving a little bit of Christmas cash over the holidays,i took to the internet to see if I could find some modern Star Wars figures to add to the collection.I was prepared to drop $12 + on a loose Boba Fett figure.I hate having to drop that kind of money on any one figure, but knew I would have to If I wanted to bring home the Boba. So imagine how psyched I was to find this set on Amazon for 6 bucks and change! In total plus shipping , I ended up with three awesome(brand new) Star Wars figures for the price of one loose Boba Fett on Ebay. This villainous trio should look great next to my other SW figures once I finally get my display room set up again.I’m trying for equal parts MARVEL,G.I. Joe and Star Wars,so it looks like I’ll be coveting more SW figures as I still need a decent C-3PO,Laeia and a Jedi Luke to round out the usual’s .Of the three figures included in the villain set,I must say that I wasn’t very excited about Snaggletooth. That all changed once I got him out of the packaging,as he is quite the charming little focker.
I love that box! Very sturdy and similar to the original 1979 release!
Such a cool little figure!
Every great action figure has to have a working gun holster. It’s only right.
Don’t you think Snaggletooth would have made an awesome ally to Han Solo?
AWWWW Friendly nuggies 🙂
While far from complete, my Star Wars collection is slowly amassing. I can’t believe I found this set on Amazon for $6.25.Yeah I had to pay an extra 5 to get it shipped but still. Most Boba Fett figures alone cost upwards of $12 -15 bucks online these days. I’m still skeptical about the low price. With so many collectors looking for immaculate MOC items, I’m wondering if the mark down had something to do with the crossed out “Only At Target” sticker? Aaah, who cares. I’m opening anyways. More
Grain PlayStation goodness!I’ve been wanting to play Iron Man/XO Manowar for a while now.Plus the “little kid” inside me was begging for a shoot ’em up, side-scrolling plat-former for Christmas and i wasn’t about to disappoint. How cool is that Spider-Man figurine and tiny Ninja?! My girls got me those 🙂 All in all a great Christmas.. stressful at times .. but well worth it. Oh, and did I forget to mention stressful? I kid. Anyways. Aim for those goals that are most likely attainable in 2014 and have a happy new year!
I’ve been a little busy these last couple of days so I haven’t been able to post about this cool package I acquired via trade with Kevin over at Action Figure Adventures.I’ve been wanting to add some kind of vintage Star Wars to the collection and thanks to Kevin I now have 3 to start me off.The Tusken Raider is one of my favorite vintage SW action figures and i’m soo glad Buzz decided to include him in the package. With all the contemporary stuff getting most of the spotlight around here lately,it’s nice to get some throwback vintage action! Thanks again Kev!
In an effort to bolster my enormous 😉 Star Wars collection , i found this cool Chewbacca figure on the Bay for 4 bucks shipped! It’s not the most articulated figure, but does have an awesome action feature.Whenever you squeeze chewies legs together,he throws his arms up in a fit of rage! When I first held this figure in hand,it almost seemed to be too big a scale and I was worried that it wouldn’t look right next to my other SW figures, mainly Han Solo.I was sooo wrong though as Chewbacca is a huge character to begin with and ended up looking great next to Solo.
Just to give you an idea of Chewies size, here he is next to one of the larger Joe figures,Retaliation Roadblock.
Got lucky and found this R2 figure on clearance at a local Marshalls for 3 bucks! Not the best toy rendition but solid. The head,if you could even call it that, does not spin and is a flat grey color instead of chrome.Other than those two gripes i like it.The best thing about this particular R2 figure is his sound/light gimmick! All those trademark beeps, buzzes and whistles can be heard with the press of a small button on his front side.A small light also turns on at the same time. This guy should look good displayed(once i am able to actually display them) next to my other SW figures.
