Redakai-Harrier

Bubbashelby over at  http://toyriffic.blogspot.com/    posted about a  Redekai figure that he found at a local Big Lots.A little while after jboy over at   http://revengefromthecosmicark.blogspot.com/   posted about his Big Lots findings when he too discovered some inexpensive yet very cool looking Redekai figures. I commented and noted that i had passed by these figures many a times at my local Wal Mart about a year ago and even placed a couple in my cart only to change my mind at the last minute.Seeing these figures on Bubba’s and jboy’s site made me head over to Big Lots(my local Wal Mart didn’t have them anymore) to see if they still had the one i originally wanted a year ago,but no dice.Long story short, while doing some shopping with the wifey at an out of the way Wal Mart ,there it was.The one Redakai figure i ‘d been coveting for a little over a year, laying in between a scrambled mess of other clearanced toys.Harrier!I loved this guy when i first saw it way back and i wasn’t about to pass it up this time. Not a bad figure for 2 bucks and he blends in nicely with the Thundercats line as well.

Three Part Post-ToyBiz/Panthro/Sandy

                                                                                                              More Fun With ToyBiz!

These guys arrived today and I’m pretty excited about all three of them!I’ll be doing separate posts on each of them so stay tuned for that!

                                                                                                             Panthro

This is another awesome figure that made it’s way into the collection thanks to Jason Vorhees! We pulled off a trade not so long ago and I was pretty psyked to find out that Panthro was going to be part of it!I really needed an 80’s Thundercat figure for my 80’s collection and Panthro will fit in nicely!Panthro was my favorite of the bunch and I couldn’t be happier to own this iconic action figure!Big shout out to Jason!

                                                                                                Super Storm Sandy

Last but not least,i’d like to wish everyone who had the misfortune of  having to deal with the events that took place this past weekend well.I know there are a few bloggers who frequent my site that live on the east coast ,myself included, and I just hope they’re all o.k.I’m a bit up north so we didn’t get the brunt of  it but still had major power outages(over 7,000 customers) and our fair share of downed trees. So heres to a speedy recovery to any and all involved and like Russel Simmons would say after every episode of Def Comedy Jam “Good night and God Bless!”

A Few New Acquisitions!

A little while ago fellow blogger Jason Vorhees and I worked out a little trade and my package arrived today!I pretty much knew what I was getting already but Jason surprised me with a sealed set of 1989 Fleer Update baseball cards! The funny thing is that I was already thinking about collecting cards again and my focus was going  to be on the ’88 and ’89 stuff so this gives me a bit of a head start 🙂 Within the set are RC’s of Randy Johnson,Robin Ventura,Jim Abbott,Todd Zeile and Deion Sanders!Awesome extra Jason!I’m also finally a proud owner of a vintage Thundercat figure and it is of my favorite character from the 80’s series Panthro.I’m also super impressed with the Bumblebee figure and can’t wait to make him an official member of the Wreckers  ;)Last but certainly not least is this gem of a Toy Biz item still in its  original box!Don’t let the box fool you, though,as the contents within are in Gem Mint condition and also alot bigger than I expected it to be.Thanks again  Jason!

Thundercats (2011 Version) Lion-O

I must admit that when i first saw pics of these on the internet i wasn’t very impressed.I didn’t realize they were 3 3/4″ figures until i saw some comparison shots and  that seemed to spark my interest.I began watching the new series and loved it,which made me want the Lion-O figure even more.I finally got the chance to pick one up the other day and pulled the trigger. This is one of my favorite figures to look at with it’s shiny armor and cartoon-ish bright colors.I only wish they had solidified his weapons a little more as they bend very easily. This is actually my first Thundercats figure ever as i was never a big fan of the original toy line. All in all a great addition to my growing collection!
